Bike.png‚Äč NEW! BIKE SAFETY WORKSHOP MAY 11th!
Get ready for spring! Ray Pfau and his amazing team of bike enthusiast volunteers will be offering a BIKE SAFETY 45 minute workshop on May 11th in the Emerson Gym. The dynamic team will review basic bike and helmet safety tips for young riders. Participants are encourage to bring their bikes for a free tuneup! Parents may drive around to the Emerson Gym doors to drop off their student and bike. Bikes can be stored in the Emerson gym until the end of the school day for parent pickup.

Medical Kit.pngRED CROSS BABYSITTING TRAINING COURSE (GRADES 5 - 8) CLOSED

The American Red Cross Babysitting Training Course can help your child gain the skills they need to take care of siblings and children in your neighborhood, They learn safety strategies when their parents can't be with them. Created for young babysitters and children that are at home with out their parents. The American Red Cross Babysitting training gives your child the opportunity to know how to react if they are home without a parent and their sibling or child in their care needs help. During the training, your child will learn First Aid and CPR/AEDThis course is for students in grades 5 - 8.

Classes will provide a fun and friendly way for students to experience the basics of Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop styles. Students will also learn a short routine with the option of participating in the Extended Learning Program’s Got Talent Night in June!

This introductory class will provide an introduction to the art of cooking. Participants will explore healthy eating habits, learn basic cooking skills and prepare a simple meal  with Chef Tom Houle!

 Cello.png MUSIC PROGRAM (Violin & Piano Lessons) CLOSED
No need to drive to music lessons! Marcia Kidder Desilets (mkidmusic@gmail.com) an exceptional music instructor with over 30 years of experience in piano, violin and viola instruction will be offering 1/2 hour private piano lessons and small group violin and viola lessons for interested K - 5 students. Violins and violas may be rented for a low monthly cost through the Marcia. Lessons will be offered in 10 session increments. Your child can now learn to play the piano, violin or viola as part of their day!

MORNING BICYCLE WORKSHOP/SAFETY CLASS Bike.png
Students in grades K - 8 brought their bikes to the Emerson Gym for a fall tune up and basic bicycle safety. Community cyclists hosted this amazing one hour opportunity for students to learn bike safety and maintenance tips from the experts. The class was open to all interested Extended Learning Program, Florence Sawyer and Emerson School students.
